A NUTRITIONAL PROGRAMME THAT SAVES LIVES
“My life’s mission will be fulfilled the day that refined carbohydrates are declared a poison”, says Christo Strydom from the Christo Strydom Nutrition (CSN) team.
In 2011 CSN made world news when they saved Sophia Loots’ life.
Sophia, who weighed more than 300kg at the time, was sent home by her doctors to die. She had about six months to live, they said. Christo guided Sophia through her journey on the CSN programme and on 24 May 2013 Sophia took her first step in years in front of international television cameras. Eventually, her weight dropped to 87.4kg. “My body was my jail,” Sophia said, and the international media company based in America, Barcroft Media, came to document her story. They are also busy documenting the treatment of CSN client, Busisiwe Zulu, for the Discovery channel.
In the 1970’s Christo met an Indian pilot who was also a medical doctor. Hy gave Christo an eating plan with a balanced vegetable soup to control his weight for the regular medical check-ups that pilots are required to pass. About eight years ago, Christo began experimenting with this soup, fresh fruit, and protein. Currently, he supplies the soup in powder form. After many trials, the CSN eating programme was born.
Christo Strydom is proud to say that he also studied the lymph system extensively for 6 years like no doctor has ever done. The first lymphoedema treatment centre opened in Junie 2013 in Great Brak near Mossel Bay in the Western Cape. “I have been warned that a drastic diet will kill people because the medical world does not recommend drastic weight loss and muscle burning. But I can show the contrary with statistics”, he says.
“It is poison!”
According to Christo Strydom, the following are poison: All refined carbohydrates, among other white rice, food containing preservatives, white flour, pasta, alcohol, sugar, margarine, dairy products, fruit juice concentrate, cake, pancake, pies, chocolate, jam, pizza, pudding and custard, sweetened yogurt, and cold drinks containing gas.
